Lead Red Teaming Credit Suisse

Peter Hladký is leading the Red Teaming program at Credit Suisse and serving as an internal SME on intelligence-driven red team testing. Peter held different positions in the field of cyber security in the past. As a Senior Consultant, he worked on number of large-scale cyber security and client data confidentiality engagements in the financial sector. Later, as a Senior Cyber Security Specialist in the defense sector, he worked on building cyber security capabilities, and conducting training exercises for CERT and crisis management teams. He has been repeatedly invited to participate at the annual cyber defense exercises Locked Shields and Crossed Swords. Peter holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science with specialization in Information Security from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich), and certifications OSCP, OSCE from Offensive Security, and GXPN from Sans Institute.

    Financial institutions have several motivations to invest and build sophisticated cyber security capabilities. Cyber security is a growing focus of regulatory authorities and financial institutions are being constantly targeted by cyberattacks. Because of these reasons, they are in the forefront of adopting novel defensive capabilities to protect their assets. Two capabilities that stand out are Cyber Threat Intelligence and Red Teaming. This talk will focus on Red Teaming and will answer the following questions: What is the concept of Red Teaming and its mission? How does it compare to other security assessments? How does it interplay with Cyber Threat Intelligence? And lastly, what are the prerequisites for Red Teaming to function optimally?
