Nicole Becher spent several years at the NYS Department of Financial Services, an American financial services regulator. She helped author DFS 500 which was one of the first regulatory frameworks for Cybersecurity as well as the BitLicense, which was also one of the first regulatory efforts for the crypto/virtual currency industry. She spent many years performing penetration tests and aiding companies with forensics and incident response as well as Adjunct Instructor at NYU. She has a unique blend of technical skills with a policy focus.
