Bruno Blumenthal has been dealing with information- and cybersecurity for over 15 years. At the beginning of his career, the technical aspects were his main focus. Later, it became more the holistic view of cyber risks for a company and society that he dealt with.
Before joining Temet he was CISO of an international defense and manufacturing group. Where he had to handle a severe cyber-attack. He subsequently restructured the security organization and built a SOC.

He has also worked on the “National strategy for Switzerland’s protection against cyber risks (NCS)” and was part of the working group to develop the “ICT Security Expert” Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education.
As Consultant he now advises clients in the area of security management, strategy, architecture and operations.

    In the “building a SOC” blueprints one key ingredient is often missing. Building trust in the SOC by the organization it is tasked to protect. When the inevitable critical incident happens, it is paramount that the management will rely on the analysis and recommendations of its SOC. In this talk I will present why the trust of the organization is important for a successful SOC. I will explain how you can make building trust part of your SOC project and embed trust building into your SOC operation. The general guidance and concrete examples in this talk will be useful for SOC leaders and Security Analysts starting to build a SOC or help improve the standings and effectiveness of existing SOCs.
